is being made in many things.

APHA conference this weekend was a success, with a great reception of the Chesapeake chapter’s panel on the Life of Private Presses (of which Bowerbox was privileged to be part.) There was lots of mingling with book lovers, historians, artists, and above all PRINTERS. This was my first APHA conference but I hear that the printers really took over on this one.

The C&P is nearing completion, all parts are de-rusted and primed, ready to be painted and put back together. A new set of Morgan expansion trucks was donated by Roland Hoover (along with back issues of The Printer.)

Speaking of Roland, the Chesapeake chapter honored him at the conference with a handmade box full of notes, printed pieces, and remembrances to thank him for being such an influential person to his many friends. I hope to get a picture of the full contents but here is a shot of the 13″ square clamshell box, made by Bowerbox with printed endpapers and title by Greg Robison and Chris Manson.

Today is a shop day, printing Christmas cards and re-stocking some other woodcut cards. Then, off to Baltimore Print Studio’s grand opening!
